Svmuureports that Shusuke Yamada, a foreign exchange and interest rate strategist at Bank of America Global Research, stated that if the Bank of Japan (BOJ) takes a hawkish stance with a rate hike at its meeting next week, it is expected to support the yen. He noted that the market has already priced in the rate hike expectations.
Current market pricing suggests that after this rate hike, the probability of another rate increase at the October meeting is around 50%. If the market-assigned probability for an October rate hike rises to above 60%, and the probability for a further rate hike at the subsequent March meeting exceeds 50%, the market is likely to interpret this as a "hawkish" stance. Therefore, the market's focus will be on the guidance the BOJ provides regarding its future policy rate path at next week's meeting. (Jinshi)

SvmuuNews Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev announced that the company's brokerage and clearing business division, Robinhood Securities, has been approved to act as an IPO underwriter. It is currently unclear which specific regulatory agency completed this approval, but the relevant regulation of the IPO process typically involves the FINRA and the SEC.
This move represents a further upgrade based on Robinhood's existing IPO Access business. Through IPO Access, Robinhood users can participate in subscribing to shares of companies about to go public. The underwriter, however, assumes a more core role, not only assisting private companies in completing the listing process but also acting as an intermediary between the issuer and investors. Svmuureports that the U.S. Department of Justice stated in a press release that a 47-year-old resident of Newcastle, Washington, Geoffrey K. Auyeung, has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Geoffrey K. Auyeung assisted overseas scammers in transferring nearly $100 million in investment fraud proceeds through bank accounts and cryptocurrency exchanges. The scammers deceived victims into investing in the oil and gas industry, luring them to transfer funds into so-called escrow accounts. To facilitate this, Geoffrey K. Auyeung established at least nine entities to receive funds, which were then transferred overseas or exchanged for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and USDC via exchanges like Gemini, Coinbase, and BitStamp. Most of these cryptocurrencies were subsequently sent to Binance accounts controlled by individuals in Nigeria and Russia.
Geoffrey K. Auyeung opened at least 81 bank accounts across 24 financial institutions and 19 accounts across 8 cryptocurrency exchanges, receiving a total of $97.1 million in wire transfers and deposits. Through his involvement in the scheme, he earned at least $4 million in commissions and received an additional $400,000 in commissions through accounts under his wife's name between August 2024 and December 2025. Auyeung pleaded guilty in February of this year. He will forfeit approximately $2.3 million seized from bank accounts and his home, an Audi SQ8, and has agreed to forfeit approximately $7.1 million worth of cryptocurrency. (The Block)

Svmuureports that Japan's three largest banks have announced plans to jointly issue a stablecoin within the current fiscal year ending March 2027. The banking arms of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, and Mizuho Financial Group will establish a committee to review the operational framework and prepare for the issuance.
The Japanese Financial Services Agency has been supporting the experimental phase of this project as part of Japan's efforts to leverage blockchain technology to enhance its payment systems. Previously, Japanese startup JPYC began issuing a yen-pegged stablecoin in October last year, and this month, a ruling party panel also proposed promoting the use of yen stablecoins for settlements in Asia. Svmuureports that the Bitcoin L2 network Botanix has decided to shut down. Botanix urges community users to withdraw their Bitcoin and other assets before July 9, 2026. After July 9, the consortium will sweep the remaining Bitcoin, and any other assets or tokens on the network will be irretrievable.
Botanix revealed that it originally planned to eventually launch a token, but the overall performance of token launches over the past year failed to meet the expected model outcomes. Additionally, structural and economic factors—including the demand for Bitcoin in DeFi, the consolidation of on-chain economics towards venues with established user relationships, and the inability of network fee revenue to cover infrastructure costs—collectively led to the termination of this experiment.

Svmuu reported that TradeXYZ stated on X regarding its SPCX pre-market contract product that TradeXYZ's pre-market contract is a price-based perpetual contract that tracks the market-implied price per share of Class A common stock (or common stock). Neither the total share count nor the company's market capitalization are input parameters for this market's rules, oracle pricing methodology, or final conversion mechanism.
Previously, the official documentation included some educational examples illustrating how users could derive a "reasonable stock price" if they had expectations about the company's market cap and total shares outstanding. These examples were intended solely to help users understand the context, but we received feedback suggesting that this content could easily lead to misunderstandings. Therefore, it has now been removed from the documentation.
In SPCX, as well as in all other XYZ markets, TradeXYZ will not use, publish, or rely on any calculation basis derived from total share count or market capitalization. Once SpaceX completes its IPO and sufficient external price data becomes available in the market, SPCX is expected to transition to a standard external oracle pricing mechanism. At that point, the contract price is expected to gradually converge toward SpaceX's public market trading price post-listing.

Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, stated that the EU plans to introduce restrictive measures against 11 crypto platforms in the next (21st) sanctions package, as these services are accused of assisting Russian authorities and enterprises in circumventing international sanctions.
Furthermore, the EU will strengthen the ban on crypto asset-related service provisions targeting certain third countries, expand the sanctions list, and prohibit transactions with the aforementioned 11 crypto platforms. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the new sanctions aim to intensify pressure on entities that help Russia maintain channels for international financial transactions.
In addition to crypto services, the new round of sanctions will also involve the traditional financial sector, with approximately 90 Russian banks potentially facing additional restrictions, 31 of which are planned to be completely banned from conducting transactions. Previously, in the 20th sanctions package, the EU had already imposed sanctions on suppliers and platforms registered in Russia that allow cryptocurrency transfers and exchanges. That ban took effect on May 24. (bits.media)

Svmuu: U.S. Central Command has announced that U.S. forces completed a self-defense strike against Iran on June 9, in response to the downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter the previous day.
U.S. forces used precision munitions from Air Force and Navy fighters to strike Iranian air defense systems, ground control stations, and surveillance radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz. This operation was a proportional response to recent attacks on U.S. forces and international merchant vessels transiting the waters of the region. U.S. forces remain vigilant and are prepared to defend against any unprovoked aggression from Iran. (Jinshi)
