At 4:00 p.m. today, the League of Legends MSI Losers’ Bracket will feature a match between G2 and LYON. The winner of this match will remain in the Losers’ Bracket and advance, while the loser will be eliminated from this year’s MSI.
G2 previously defeated TES 3-2, but then lost to HLE and dropped into the Losers’ Bracket, where they defeated T1 in the last round to advance. LYON, after losing to BLG in the Winners’ Bracket, moved to the Losers’ Bracket, defeated TSW, and secured their chance to remain in the tournament. For G2, facing LYON is a hurdle they must clear to continue their push toward the lower bracket finals; for LYON, this is an opportunity to prove they can still keep the tournament exciting.
