The U.S. Senate plans to consider the CLARITY Act during the week of July 20 and will need the support of at least seven Democratic senators.
Svmuu News: The CLARITY Act, which provides a regulatory framework for the digital asset industry, is facing a critical legislative window. Bipartisan negotiations in the U.S. have yet to reach an agreement on key issues such as ethics rules for government officials and illicit finance. If the bill fails to move forward before the August recess, there will be virtually no time left before the midterm elections, which could cause the legislative process to return to square one. Currently, Republican leadership aims to bring the bill to a full Senate vote during the week of July 20, but at least seven Democratic senators must support it for it to pass.
