Svmuu News: “The White-Haired Stock Guru” Serenity posted on X, pointing out that the Boston Dynamics industry chain report released by IBK Research last month indicated that Boston Dynamics does not plan to achieve an annual production capacity of 30,000 units until 2028,while the combined production capacity of Chinese robotics manufacturers is projected to reach 100,000 units by the end of 2026, which may prompt institutions to begin reevaluating the valuation of the humanoid robotics sector.
In terms of the competitive landscape, the U.S. camp includes Tesla, Figure, Apptronik, and Agility Robotics, while Boston Dynamics is majority-owned by South Korea’s Hyundai Group; major Chinese manufacturers include Yushu Technology, Fuliye Intelligence, Zhiyuan Robotics, UBTech, and XPeng Robotics; and European companies include Neura, Pal Robotics, Wandercraft, and Oversonic.
In addition, IBK Research projects that Atlas shipments will reach 11,290 units in 2028, increasing to 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, and 50,000 units in 2029, 2030, 2031, and 2032, respectively. However, Serenity questions this linear growth model, arguing that the actual volume growth curve is more likely to follow an S-curve. It forecasts that shipments in 2028 could reach 15,000 to 20,000 units, rising to 40,000 to 70,000 units in 2029 and further increasing to 90,000 to 140,000 units in 2030.
