Svmuu News: On July 13 in Tokyo, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi delivered an opening address via video at WebX 2026, an event hosted by Coinpost.
Sanae Takaichi began by extending her heartfelt congratulations on the successful launch of WebX 2026. She noted that Web3, as a next-generation internet ecosystem based on blockchain technology, is seeing continuous progress in its social implementation and has attracted participants from around the world. I understand that this year’s Web conference has attracted approximately 15,000 participants, making it Asia’s largest Web3 event. With numerous startups actively participating and various networking events for investors being held, it serves as an extremely important platform for fostering business collaboration and connections.
The new Takashi cabinet places a high priority on fostering startups. In May of this year, we launched the “Comprehensive Startup Promotion Package,” aimed at strengthening the “Five-Year Plan for Startup Development.” Through the implementation of these measures, coupled with the support of this year’s WebX 2026, I am confident that we will further drive the growth of startups while fostering innovation across various sectors, thereby enabling Japan’s innovation ecosystem to achieve further development and take off.
Finally, I sincerely wish all attendees even greater success in the future and look forward to the resounding success of this conference. Thank you all.
