The report indicates that second-quarter equity trading revenue reached $6.03 billion, a year-over-year surge of 86%, significantly exceeding even the highest expectations of market analysts;combined with a $4.6 billion gain from the sale of its long-held Visa shares, these factors collectively drove a significant improvement in overall performance. Boosted by the equity trading business, JPMorgan Chase’s total trading revenue for the quarter rose to $12.1 billion, surpassing the first quarter of this year and once again setting a new all-time high.
