With Improved Transaction Reliability, the Polygon Ithaca Hard Fork Will Go Live on the Mainnet on July 29
Svmuu News: The Polygon Foundation announced on X that the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed on the Amoy testnet and will go live on the Polygon mainnet at block height 50,185,000, expected at 22:00 Beijing Time on July 29. This upgrade aims to enhance payment reliability by automatically failing over to ensure smooth transaction processing during rare instances of block producer stagnation. It also introduces new protective mechanisms to intercept transactions that could cause network slowdowns or instability, while providing node operators with clearer visibility to ensure seamless underlying operations. All node operators must upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility and network security.
