Svmuu News: Driven by the strength of U.S. tech stocks overnight, South Korea’s semiconductor sector rose sharply during early trading on the 22nd.As of 8:11 a.m. Beijing time, Samsung Electronics was up 5.79% at 274,000 won; SK Hynix rose 8.50%, briefly touching 2 million won for the first time since July 15.
In overnight U.S. trading, NVIDIA rose 1.97% as its next-generation AI server platform, Vera Rubin, entered mass production and began shipping to major customers; Micron soared 12.17%, and Broadcom rose 2.21%, driving the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up 5.21%. Additionally, SK Hynix ADRs rose 13.75% overnight, closing at $171.94.
In terms of capital flows, foreign investors have net purchased 717.6 billion won in the electrical and electronics sector of the South Korean stock market, while retail and institutional investors have net sold 370.6 billion won and 345.8 billion won, respectively.
