Genius Terminal and Its Core Features
Genius Terminal is a non-custodial on-chain trading terminal developed by the Shuttle Labs team, designed to unify the fragmented decentralized finance (DeFi) market into a single trading environment. It supports more than 10 blockchain networks, including BNB Chain, and offers users a variety of features such as spot trading, perpetual contracts, yield strategies, and pre-launch token markets. The platform aims to provide professional DeFi users with a unified, private, and efficient trading interface to eliminate the complexity of managing multiple wallets, cross-chain bridges, and multiple interfaces.

BNB Chain Dark Pool: Gh0st’s Privacy Mechanism
Genius Terminal’s core privacy-focused trading feature, called “Gh0st” (Ghost Orders), officially launched on the BNB Chain in May 2026.The Gh0st feature utilizes advanced multi-party computation (MPC) technology to break down large orders and coordinate their execution across dozens of temporary wallets, thereby anonymizing transactions and effectively preventing external order tracking and potential MEV (Miner Extractable Value) attacks, such as front-running and sandwich attacks.Notably, this mechanism is designed to be “privacy-compliant,” allowing regulators to conduct cryptographic audits when necessary to balance privacy protection with regulatory requirements.
Project Development and Funding Overview

The Genius project was founded in 2022 by the Shuttle Labs team, whose core members are from Yale University. Its development timeline is as follows:
- October 2025: Genius Terminal launched in test mode.
- January 15–March 16, 2026: Genius launched its first-quarter Genius Points (GP) rewards campaign.
- April 13, 2026: The GENIUS token officially launched.
- April 16, 2026: Binance Futures launched the GENIUS/USDT USD-denominated perpetual contract.
- May 29, 2026: Binance launched the Genius Terminal (GENIUS) HODLer airdrop campaign.
- The Genius protocol is expected to be fully open to the public by the end of 2026.
In terms of funding, Genius had raised a total of $7 million prior to the investment from YZi Labs, including a $6 million seed round and a $1 million follow-on round in 2024.In January 2026, YZi Labs—the family office of Changpeng Zhao (CZ)—made a strategic investment of tens of millions of dollars in Genius Trading, and Changpeng Zhao himself joined Genius Trading as an advisor. As of this writing, Genius has processed over $60 million in trading volume since its “soft launch” in October 2025.

GENIUS Token Economics
The GENIUS token is the core token of the Genius Terminal ecosystem. Its key details are as follows:
- Token Type: BEP-20
- Maximum Supply: 1 billion
- Initial Circulating Supply: Approximately 335 million (33.5% of the total supply, as of April 13, 2026)
- Current Market Capitalization: Approximately $107 million (as of May 29, 2026)
- Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV): Approximately $320 million (as of May 29, 2026)
- Price: Approximately $0.59 (as of April 13, 2026)

GENIUS tokens can be traded on exchanges that support the token, such as Binance, GroveX, BTCC, BitMart, FameEX, XT.COM, CoinW, Toobit, Aivora Exchange,Hibt, Poloniex, OrangeX, WEEX, Uniswap V4 (BSC), P2B, and others.
The Evolution and Challenges of the DeFi Privacy Trading Sector
The DeFi privacy sector is shifting from the early “indiscriminate anonymity” model toward a “programmable compliance” Privacy 2.0 paradigm to accommodate the needs of institutional capital and regulatory frameworks. The emergence of on-chain dark pools holds the promise of enabling on-chain transactions to balance privacy protection with verifiability, addressing the issues of slippage and strategy exposure caused by large orders being vulnerable to MEV attacks. The Gh0st feature of Genius Terminal is a prime example of this trend.

However, privacy computing technologies still face performance bottlenecks (such as the computational overhead of fully homomorphic encryption, FHE) and challenges related to regulatory dynamics. The anonymity of on-chain dark pools may trigger regulatory scrutiny regarding anti-money laundering (AML) and market manipulation. The focus of DeFi competition is shifting from mere liquidity and yield growth to the long-term development of financial infrastructure capabilities, and private trading is a key component of this shift. Its development will have a profound impact on the future landscape of DeFi.
