Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Bill Introduced in North Carolina, Passes on Day of First Consideration
Svmuu reports that the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act (S327) was formally introduced in North Carolina and passed its first consideration the day after it was introduced (March 19th), according to an article in Bitcoin Magazine. The bill was introduced on March 18, 2025, after about 12 months of committee review. There are currently three similar state bills pending in the U.S., all of which, if passed, are expected to result in state-level Bitcoin holdings of $2 billion by 2027.
