David Sacks: AI Safety Restrictions May Undermine the Competitiveness of U.S. Models
Svmuu News: David Sacks, Chair of the U.S. President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, posted on X stating that the Kimi K3 model recently completed 15 critical security vulnerability fixes, while Codex and Fable refused to process related requests due to “cybersecurity protection mechanisms.” He noted that there is no reason to restrict U.S. models from performing these tasks due to security constraints when Chinese models are able to complete them normally. Doing so would only undermine U.S. competitiveness.
