Svmuu News: In April of this year, Bitcoin developer Paul Sztorc announced that the Bitcoin eCash hard fork would be activated at block height 963,648 (around August 21), at which time a new chain named eCash will be launched.At the same time, eCash will conduct a 1:1 airdrop of the eCash network token, ECX, to all addresses holding Bitcoin prior to block height 963,648. No registration or pre-claim is required, provided that users transfer their BTC to an eCash self-custody wallet.As of now, community support for this hard fork on Bitcoin remains low.
It is worth noting that Bitcoin will also undergo a BIP-110 soft fork in August. At block height 961,632 (approximately August 7), BIP-110 will enter its enforcement period,and the BIP-110 soft fork will be officially activated at block height 963,648 (around September 1).
