Bithumb Introduces Video Verification for Elderly Users
Svmuu News: South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has announced the launch of a video call identity verification process for elderly users to prevent financial crimes such as identity theft, account rental, and cryptocurrency investment scams. According to the regulations, if the video verification reveals that the account is not actually being used by the account holder, the platform will immediately restrict login access. If a user does not answer the video call, the system will attempt to contact them up to four times; if verification still cannot be completed, withdrawal and asset transfer functions will be temporarily restricted and restored once identity verification is complete.
