The roll call vote that day resulted in 214 votes in favor and 208 against.Four Republican representatives joined Democrats in voting in favor of the resolution.
In June of this year, the House passed a similar resolution, with four Republican representatives also voting in favor at that time.While this action is largely symbolic, it highlights the unpopularity of a war with Iran and the growing concerns among a small number of Republican lawmakers—who may face strong opposition in the midterm congressional elections just a few months from now.
