Svmuu News: On the evening of July 24 local time, the Hodeidah region of Yemen—which is under the control of Houthi forces—was struck by airstrikes. The Saudi-led coalition announced that it had carried out strikes against Houthi military strongholds in Hodeidah but did not target the port of Hodeidah, emphasizing that all local ports are currently open to shipping. The Saudi-led coalition described the airstrikes as a “measured military response” specifically targeting Houthi military sites in Hodeidah that are directly linked to threats against commercial shipping in the Red Sea. If the Houthi rebels continue to engage in “hostile” actions, the coalition will respond “without compromise” and will continue to take necessary measures to protect its own vessels and the interests of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "Masirah TV," affiliated with the Houthi rebels, reported that the Saudi airstrikes hit facilities belonging to the state-owned telecommunications company in Hodeidah. The station also claimed that Saudi forces attacked Kamalan Island off Yemen’s western coast. (CCTV International News)
