Iran: We Will Not Let the U.S. Decide When to Go to War or Make Peace; the Current Ceasefire Is Not a Formal Ceasefire
Iran stated that it has not held peace talks with the United States and will never allow Washington to determine the timing of war or peace. Tehran emphasized that the current lull in fighting is not a formal ceasefire, and that Iran will defend its interests as necessary. Furthermore, Iran added that its ongoing shipping negotiations with Oman are independent of the United States and focus on the Strait of Hormuz.
