Samsung raised its foundry prices for 4-nanometer and 5-nanometer process chips by 10% to 15% in July, and 8-nanometer process prices by nearly 10%, primarily for customers in mainland China and the United States, Reuters reported on Wednesday. Analysts believe that as TSMC's capacity tightens, customers are turning to Samsung, and its foundry business is expected to become profitable as early as next year, sooner than previously anticipated by the market. Samsung expects double-digit growth in foundry revenue in the second half of the year and has already partnered with Tesla, Apple, Broadcom, NVIDIA, and others, with Google also in discussions.
