USN stablecoin: NEAR Ecosystem Stablecoin Project Terminated, Analysis of its Value and Investment Prospects
USN was formerly a stablecoin in the NEAR Protocol ecosystem, designed to be pegged 1:1 with the US dollar. The project was launched by Decentral Bank in April 2022, but experienced de-pegging and undercollateralization issues in July of the same year. Although the NEAR Foundation initiated a protection plan allowing holders to redeem USDT, Decentral Bank officially terminated the USN project in October 2022, ceasing minting. Currently, USN has no real value and lacks long-term investment potential.
