ECHO is the native utility token of the Echo Protocol. The Echo Protocol is dedicated to building a Bitcoin liquidity re-staking and yield layer, and is unique in that it is the first protocol of its kind built on MoveVM (the core technology of the Aptos blockchain).The protocol aims to integrate various Bitcoin staking assets (such as W-BTC, L-BTC, etc.), enabling users to bridge assets across different blockchains, stake them, and earn yields. Technically, Echo Protocol is built on Aptos’ MoveVM and plans to offer support for the Ethereum and Bitcoin sidechains, while integrating both x64 and Ethereum virtual machines (EVM) to support a broader range of smart contract development. Echo Protocol’s mainnet and applications were officially launched in mid-2025.
ECHO Token Economics
The total supply cap for the ECHO token is 1 billion.Echo Protocol has designed a deflationary mechanism that implements token burns through multi-chain activities and treasury fees, aiming to reduce the circulating supply and promote long-term value. Specifically, the protocol plans to allocate 10% of daily platform fees to repurchase and burn ECHO tokens until the total supply is reduced to 500 million.
As of this writing (July 29, 2026), ECHO’s circulating supply is approximately 352.62 million tokens.In the coming months, the token will undergo periodic unlock events, such as on August 2, September 2, October 2, November 2, and December 2, 2026, as well as January 2, 2027,with 20.99 million ECHO unlocked at each event, representing approximately 2.10% of the total supply.
