INV Token Overview: The Governance Core of Inverse Finance
INV token is the native governance token of the decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Inverse Finance, following the ERC-20 standard on the Ethereum blockchain. Inverse Finance operates as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), maintained and developed by a global community of developers and designers. INV token holders have voting rights on key protocol decisions, such as parameter adjustments, new feature proposals, and fund allocation, reflecting its community-driven governance model.

Core Functions and Ecosystem of Inverse Finance
At the core of Inverse Finance is its Fixed Rate Market (FiRM) protocol. This protocol aims to address the high interest rate volatility in traditional decentralized lending by providing users with predictable fixed-rate lending services. This allows users to better plan their financial strategies and reduce the uncertainty caused by market fluctuations.
In addition to the INV governance token, the Inverse Finance ecosystem also includes its debt-backed decentralized stablecoin DOLA, and DOLA's interest-bearing version, sDOLA. These components collectively build a DeFi platform designed to provide stable and efficient financial services.
Project History and Security Incident Review

The Inverse Finance DAO was launched by Nour Haridy on the Ethereum blockchain in 2020. In its early development, the project acquired decentralized bank Tonic Finance for $1.6 million on April 30, 2021, expanding its ecosystem.
However, Inverse Finance experienced two major security incidents in 2022. In April 2022, the platform suffered a hack, losing $15.6 million, which attackers achieved by manipulating the Anchor money market function on the platform. Just two months later, in June 2022, the platform was attacked again, resulting in a loss of $1.2 million, also due to price manipulation, with a net loss of $5.83 million in DOLA stablecoin. Subsequently, the project stated that it had hired a third party to audit its smart contracts in an effort to reduce the risk of future attacks.
INV Market Performance and Key Data
According to public data, as of August 7, 2026, the real-time price of INV is approximately $9.27. Its 24-hour trading volume is approximately $9,371.19, and its market capitalization is approximately $6,518,401 (as of August 6, 2026).

The total supply of INV tokens is approximately 555,000, with about 510,000 INV in circulation. INV's All-Time High (ATH) reached $2,075.09, while its All-Time Low (ATL) was $9.08.
INV Token Trading and Purchase Channels
As an ERC-20 token, INV can be traded on both centralized exchanges (CEX) and decentralized exchanges (DEX) that support the Ethereum network. As of the time of writing, INV tokens can be traded on the following platforms:
- Coinbase Exchange: A mainstream centralized cryptocurrency exchange.
- Curve (Ethereum): A DEX focused on stablecoin trading, supporting trading pairs like INV/WETH.
- Sushiswap: A Ethereum-based DEX offering various token trading services.
- Uniswap V2 (Ethereum): One of the most well-known DEXs on Ethereum, where users can swap tokens by connecting a Web3 wallet.

When trading INV on a decentralized exchange (DEX), users typically need to connect a Web3 wallet like MetaMask to the DEX platform and ensure they have enough Ethereum (ETH) for transaction fees (Gas fees). Please note that the cryptocurrency market is highly volatile, and it is essential to verify platform information and trading risks yourself before trading.
