I/O Coin (IOC) Project Overview

I/O Coin (IOC) is a cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem project focused on privacy protection, launched on July 24, 2014, through a fair launch without an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) or pre-mine. The project aims to provide a secure, decentralized platform that supports private transactions and data storage for users.
Core Technologies and Innovations

The IOC blockchain integrates multiple technical features to achieve its vision of privacy and decentralization:
- Consensus Mechanism: IOC initially underwent a two-week fair distribution via the X11 Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm, then transitioned to its unique Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, PoS Cipher, to ensure network security.
- Privacy and Encryption: The blockchain supports private and public identities, employs stealth addresses, offers AES 256 encrypted 1MB arbitrary data storage, and provides an encrypted instant messaging service.
- Performance: The IOC blockchain's block capacity has been increased to 4MB, with block confirmation times as fast as 16 seconds, aiming to provide efficient transaction processing capabilities.
- DIONS System: The Decentralized Input/Output Name Server (DIONS) system allows users to create private and public aliases for sending and receiving IOC, and to upload and transfer files up to 1MB.
- Smart Contract Compatibility: IOC has developed a Solidity-compatible Virtual Machine (DVM), enabling users to deploy Ethereum smart contracts and ERC20 tokens on the IOC blockchain.

Development History and Ecosystem Maintenance
Since its launch in 2014, the I/O Coin project has continuously evolved, with its digital development team dedicated to building a multi-layered ecosystem. In 2016, the I/O Coin community and developers jointly established the I/O Digital Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at promoting awareness and research of open-source public blockchain technology, particularly in the fields of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and data encryption. In 2017, I/O developers upgraded IOC's blockchain protocol, codenamed DIONS, further enhancing the underlying platform to host decentralized applications. I/O Coin, as a fully decentralized global cryptocurrency, is jointly maintained by the I/O Digital Foundation and the global community.

Tokenomics and Market Dynamics
According to CoinMarketCap data, the total supply of IOC is approximately 22.6 million, with 100% in circulation. Each confirmed block provides a fixed reward of 1.5 IOC to stakers. IOC's all-time high price reached $7.69 (January 21, 2017). Investors can view the coin's market data and related information on Svmuu.
