PowerPool Protocol Overview

PowerPool is a decentralized protocol whose core objective is to optimize and manage Decentralized Finance (DeFi) investments by pooling governance tokens. As a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), PowerPool manages non-custodial, structured, and thematic investment tokens, aiming to provide DeFi users with more efficient governance participation and investment strategies.

Core Functions and Technology

PowerPool Protocol Analysis: CVP Token Functions and Market Status

  • Governance Token Pooling: PowerPool allows users to pool governance tokens such as COMP, BAL, and SUSHI to earn yield and accumulate governance power in Ethereum-based protocols.
  • Meta-governance: The protocol pioneered the concept of meta-governance, which involves pooling governance tokens and issuing another asset (CVP) to determine how the underlying assets will vote in future decisions.
  • PowerAgent Network (DePIN): PowerAgent v2 is a decentralized, permissionless physical infrastructure network (DePIN) composed of Keeper bots, providing "transaction-as-a-service" or "transaction execution-as-a-service" for automating transaction execution based on on-chain/off-chain conditions and complex on-chain strategies, serving users, protocols, and AI agents.
  • Power Indices: Offers a range of DeFi index funds, which are smart token baskets fully managed by the community, designed to create added value for pooled token traders.
  • Wrapper and Router Technology: Tokens in the pool are represented by piTokens (universal wrapped tokens), while the actual tokens are staked elsewhere via the Router.
  • Power Oracle Network: Provides cross-chain decentralized oracle services, offering free price data for various networks.

Development and Deployment

PowerPool was launched in 2020 as a meta-governance protocol. In 2022, the team focused on developing PowerAgent v2. Currently, the protocol is deployed on Gnosis Chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum, and the Sepolia testnet, with plans for future expansion to more blockchain networks.

CVP Token: Concentrated Voting Power

PowerPool Protocol Analysis: CVP Token Functions and Market Status

CVP (Concentrated Voting Power) is the native cryptocurrency and governance token of the PowerPool ecosystem, adhering to the ERC-20 standard.

Main Uses of CVP

  • Governance: CVP holders have voting rights in the PowerPool DAO, influencing protocol upgrades, fund allocation, the launch of new indices, and how pooled governance tokens vote in other DeFi projects.
  • Staking: CVP can be staked (as xCVP) to earn rewards, participate in governance, and receive a share of protocol fees. Staking CVP is also necessary to run a PowerAgent Keeper node, serving as a "risk margin" to prevent malicious behavior.
  • Liquidity Mining: Users can earn CVP by providing liquidity to PowerPool.
  • Power Agent Network Token: Used to secure the operation of the PowerPool Keeper network.
  • Fee Distribution: 100% of protocol revenue and fees are distributed to DAO members through the xCVP mechanism.

Tokenomics

PowerPool Protocol Analysis: CVP Token Functions and Market Status

PowerPool did not conduct venture capital (VC) funding at launch, and CVP tokens were distributed through initial liquidity mining and community airdrops. Its maximum supply is 100 million CVP. As of September 2026, the circulating supply is approximately 48.22 million CVP.

Market Performance and Liquidity Risk

As of September 22, 2026, the market price of CVP is approximately $0.0023 to $0.0025. However, the token's 24-hour trading volume is extremely low, for example, only $34.02 on September 20, and as low as $6.86 today, or shown as N/A in some data sources. This indicates that the CVP trading market is almost depleted, lacking effective transactions, and has extremely high liquidity risk.

CVP's all-time high price reached $17.27 (September 1, 2020), and its all-time low was $0.00059957 (May 18, 2026). Despite historical highs, the current extremely low trading volume and market capitalization (approximately $102,000 to $123,000) reflect a significant decline in market interest and activity.
