IPOR Protocol and IPOR Coin Overview

The IPOR (Inter Protocol Over-block Rate) Protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi) solution whose core objective is to become the credit hub of the DeFi space. It aims to set industry benchmarks by providing transparent on-chain interest rate indices. The IPOR Protocol introduces a DeFi benchmark interest rate (IPOR Index) similar to LIBOR in traditional finance.

IPOR Coin is the native utility token of the protocol, initially designed for governance and incentives within the ecosystem. Users can stake IPOR tokens to obtain Power IPOR (pwIPOR), which serves as the governance token for the IPOR DAO, allowing participation in the protocol's decentralized decision-making.

Core Functions and Technical Architecture

The IPOR Protocol provides decentralized interest rate swap services, allowing users to hedge or speculate on interest rate changes for major stablecoins such as USDC, USDT, and DAI. Its core components include the IPOR Index, an automated market maker (AMM) specifically designed for interest rate products, and liquidity pools.

The protocol was initially built on the Ethereum blockchain, with the IPOR token adhering to the ERC-20 standard. To enhance scalability and reduce transaction costs, the IPOR Protocol has expanded its operations to other Layer 2 blockchain networks such as Arbitrum and Base.

Tokenomics and Governance

The total supply of IPOR tokens is capped at 100,000,000. Its distribution plan includes: 30% allocated to the DAO treasury, 25% for liquidity mining, 13.15% for DAO operations, 20% for the development team IPOR Labs, and 11.85% for investors. The IPOR DAO is responsible for the decentralized governance of the protocol, ensuring its long-term development and community participation.

Key Development: Token Migration to $FUSN

According to IIP-35, the IPOR token is undergoing a migration, with the goal of transitioning to a new token, $FUSN. A key date for this migration was May 9, 2025, when a snapshot was taken of all IPOR and pwIPOR holders. This means that the value and functionality of the original IPOR token have been significantly affected, with the primary focus now shifting to the new $FUSN token.

IPOR Coin Market Performance and Trading Status

IPOR Coin: DeFi Interest Rate Swap Protocol and Its Token Migration Status

Given that the IPOR token is migrating to $FUSN, the market activity of the original IPOR token has significantly decreased. Current market data shows significant contradictions and anomalies: for example, some data indicates that as of September 28, 2026, IPOR's market cap was $424.66K, with a trading price of $0.022057; however, Coinbase simultaneously shows its market cap at only $7.523K, with a 24-hour trading volume of $0.00. Other data suggests a circulating supply of 0, leading to a market cap of 0. Bitget Wallet data, on the other hand, shows both circulating market cap and fully diluted valuation at $550. These conflicting and extremely low trading volume data indicate that the original IPOR token no longer has an active trading market and lacks effective transactions. Investors should verify the latest project information and token status on market platforms like Svmuu before trading and exercise extreme caution.

Currently, there are no reliable active trading channels for this token. Investors should be aware of the associated risks.

Development Team and Vision

The IPOR Protocol was developed by IPOR Labs, a software company based in Switzerland. Darren Camas, co-founder and CEO of IPOR Labs, has emphasized that the IPOR Protocol aims to provide native DeFi interest rate benchmarks and derivatives by combining traditional financial principles with DeFi technology, enabling users to engage in high-leverage hedging, speculation, or arbitrage.
