Fliggy: Interest in New Year's Day Travel Rises; Average Number of Items Purchased Per Person Increases by 20%
On January 3, Fliggy released its “2026 New Year’s Holiday Travel Report,” which showed that during the New Year’s holiday, both consumer willingness to travel and spending power increased: the average number of items purchased per person rose by more than 20% year-over-year, while average spending per person increased by more than 30% compared to last year. On January 1, New Year’s Day, domestic hotel bookings on Fliggy surged by 280% year-over-year, while bookings for domestic destination activities rose by over 270% compared to the previous year.
