According to statistics from Haikou Customs, during the first two days of the New Year’s Day holiday, Haikou Customs supervised the sale of 307,000 items through Hainan’s duty-free shopping program for departing passengers, a 48.3% increase year-over-year; the number of shoppers reached 65,000, a 60.9% increase year-over-year; and total sales amounted to 505 million yuan, a 121.5% increase year-over-year.
