According to CNN,U.S. Senator Brian Schatz, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, warned that the United States should not intervene in Venezuelan affairs after receiving reports of an explosion in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. He stated that the United States “has no vital national interests in Venezuela and therefore has no need to go to war.”Shatz was among the first U.S. lawmakers to react to the explosion. He said, “We should have learned our lesson by now and not repeat such foolish mistakes. Yet he is not even willing to explain to the American people exactly what happened.” These remarks appeared to be directed at Donald Trump.
