Hainan's off-island duty-free shopping sales reached 712 million yuan during the New Year's Day holiday
According to statistics from Haikou Customs, during the New Year’s Day holiday (January 1–3, 2026), Haikou Customs supervised the sale of 442,000 items of duty-free goods for outbound travelers, a year-on-year increase of 52.4%; The number of shoppers reached 83,500, a year-on-year increase of 60.6%; total sales amounted to 712 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 128.9%.
