According to the Upper Yellow River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. of the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), four major clean energy projects planned and constructed by the company—including the 300-megawatt Jianzhatan photovoltaic project and the 700-megawatt Fushan Gonghe photovoltaic project—have recently been connected to the grid and commenced power generation. Once operational, these projects are expected to generate an average of over 4.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 4 million tons, effectively supporting Qinghai’s efforts to establish itself as a national hub for the clean energy industry.
