MTR Corporation Limited (MTR) announced on the 4th that passenger volume on the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link reached a new record high in 2025, exceeding 30 million passenger trips, a 17% increase year-on-year. According to reports, on December 27, 2025, West Kowloon Station recorded nearly 140,000 passenger trips, setting a new single-day record. Since its opening in September 2018, the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link has recently surpassed 100 million cumulative passenger trips. (Xinhua News Agency)
