On January 2, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a notice initiating a second anti-dumping and countervailing duty sunset review investigation on passenger car and light truck tires imported from China. At the same time, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) initiated a second anti-dumping and countervailing duty sunset review industry injury investigation regarding passenger car and light truck tires imported from China, to examine whether, if the current anti-dumping and countervailing duty measures were removed, imports of the subject products would continue or recur to cause material injury to the U.S. domestic industry.
