According to State Grid Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd., by the end of 2025, Fujian Province’s installed power generation capacity will exceed 100 million kilowatts for the first time, reaching 100.49 million kilowatts. Of this total, clean energy will account for 65.8%. To support the large-scale development and transmission of clean energy, Fujian has accelerated grid construction in recent years, building a power hub that connects to the Yangtze River Delta in the north, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the south, and the central China hinterland in the west. In 2025, Fujian’s electricity exports exceeded 6 billion kilowatt-hours. Furthermore, in conjunction with large-scale development plans for clean energy sources such as offshore wind power in Southern and Northeastern Fujian, Fujian has proactively laid out "offshore-to-shore" collection and transmission corridors in Southern and Northeastern Fujian. These are planned to support the development of over 10 million kilowatts of new offshore wind power during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, further strengthening Fujian’s role as a hub in regional energy supply.
