Weakness in the manufacturing sector weighs on U.S. Treasury yields; the dollar gives up some of its gains from earlier highs
After the Institute for Supply Management’s manufacturing PMI data came in below expectations, U.S. Treasury yields fell slightly further, while the dollar gave up some of its gains. The December ISM Manufacturing PMI came in at 47.9, falling short of both the 48.3 forecast in a Wall Street Journal survey of economists and the 48.2 reading from November. According to Tradeweb data, following the release of the figures, the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield fell from 4.177% to 4.168%, marking a 2-basis-point decline for the day. The U.S. Dollar Index retreated from around 98.633 to 98.547, but its daily gain remained above 0.1%.

Analysis indicates that XRP's failure to reach a new all-time high is primarily due to a significant increase in its circulating supply, which rose from 34 billion in 2018 to 63 billion currently.
