To address bottlenecks and obstacles hindering the entry of medium- and long-term capital into the market, financial regulators are actively listening to and gathering feedback from the industry in order to target their efforts more precisely. Recently, as part of preparations for the 15th Five-Year Plan, regulators conducted surveys of several bank wealth management companies last month. The survey questions included, but were not limited to, the current obstacles hindering banks from increasing the scale and proportion of their investments in A-shares; the industry’s expectations for relevant Chinese policies and regulations over the next five years; and how to boost the enthusiasm for investing in A-shares through wealth management products.
