Sanofi (SNY.O) announced that Pralsiran Sodium Injection (brand name: Ridalp) has been officially approved in China for use in reducing triglyceride levels in adult patients with familial chylomicronosis (FCS) as an adjunct to dietary control. FCS is a hereditary disorder associated with high triglyceride levels. This drug is the world’s first small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapy targeting the novel APOC3 (apolipoprotein C-III) mRNA.
