Pakistan killed more than 5,000 terrorists in counterterrorism operations last year

On January 6 local time, Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan, stated that in 2025, Pakistan conducted a total of 75,175 intelligence-led counterterrorism operations. Of these, 14,659 operations were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and 58,778 in Balochistan Province, resulting in the deaths of 5,397 terrorists. Meanwhile, 1,235 personnel lost their lives in the counterterrorism operations. Chaudhry noted that a total of 27 suicide attacks occurred in Pakistan last year.
