With Increased Spending on Defense and Infrastructure, Analysts Expect European and UK Stock Markets to Catch Up with the U.S. in 2026
The UK and the eurozone are expected to see growth in GDP and stock market returns in 2026, according to a report by Joachim Klement and Susana Cruz of Panmure Liberum. They noted that increased spending on defense and infrastructure projects is expected to boost economic growth and corporate earnings. “We expect total returns in the UK and Europe to reach double digits again this year, on par with the US.”
