According to a draft statement from Tuesday’s summit of Ukraine’s allies in Paris, the United States will commit to providing support to Ukraine in the event of future Russian attacks. In addition, leaders from Europe and Canada, as well as U.S. officials, are expected to agree to support a multinational force stationed in Ukraine to assist in rebuilding Kyiv’s armed forces. According to the draft (which is still subject to change), this initiative would be led by European nations, with U.S. participation.
