On January 7, the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People’s Government held a regular policy briefing, inviting officials from the Provincial Department of Transportation and other relevant departments to interpret the “Three-Year Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Shandong’s Aviation Maintenance Industry.” Feng Lishu, Deputy Inspector of the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, stated that the plan emphasizes strengthening openness and enhancing quality and efficiency to create an open environment conducive to win-win cooperation. We will deepen cross-provincial cooperation and exchanges with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Yellow River Basin. We will actively integrate into the commercial aircraft supply chain of companies such as COMAC, gather domestic Tier 1 suppliers for large aircraft—including Shandong Taigu and Nanshan Aluminum—and facilitate on-site visits by COMAC to enterprises within the province to pave the way for their inclusion in the potential supplier network. The province will carry out strategic alignment with international initiatives and engage in diverse forms of international and domestic cooperation. It will encourage foreign and private capital to invest in Shandong’s aviation maintenance industry, actively expand into international markets such as Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the United States, and enhance its ability to connect with global resources.
