GateToken (GT) Q4 2025 on-chain burn completed, with a total value of over $1.9 billion burned
Svmuu News: According to an official announcement, the on-chain burn of GateToken (GT) for the fourth quarter of 2025 has been officially completed. A total of 2,163,900.48229 GT were transferred to the burn address, with a total value exceeding $26.92 million. Since the launch of the GateChain mainnet in 2019, GT has implemented a continuous burning mechanism. To date, a cumulative total of 184,819,426 GT tokens have been burned, with a total value exceeding $1.9 billion (based on current prices), reducing the total token supply by approximately 61.61% from the initial 300 million. With the launch of Gate Layer and the gradual rollout of native applications such as Gate Perp DEX, Gate Fun, and Meme Go, GT—as the sole gas token on Gate Layer—is seeing increasing usage in trading, interaction, and governance scenarios, driving steady growth in on-chain demand. Gate will continue to implement a long-term, stable GT burning mechanism, advancing the deflationary process in compliance with regulations to create a tighter positive feedback loop between the token economic model and real-world usage needs and ecosystem expansion.
