Svmuu News: The Second Plenary Session of the Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress was held on the morning of the 9th at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where Zhang Jun, President of the Supreme People's Court, delivered the work report of the Supreme People's Court. The report indicates that over the past five years, 9,326 cases involving crimes against cybersecurity were adjudicated, involving 22,000 individuals—a 158.5% increase in the number of cases compared to the previous five-year period. Crimes such as online rumors, online pyramid schemes, and cyberbullying were punished in accordance with the law, promoting comprehensive governance of cyberspace security. Two young men were convicted and sentenced in accordance with the law for maliciously “doxxing” others and illegally obtaining and disseminating their private information. Crimes such as money laundering and currency flight using virtual currencies as a medium were severely punished, and efforts were made to prevent illegal cross-border fund transfers. It was clarified that drivers who activate assisted driving functions while intoxicated remain criminally liable, and that the application of technology must adhere to legal boundaries. (CCTV News)
