Svmuu News: Crypto In America reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on X that the U.S. Department of Justice has requested a retrial for Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm regarding two charges on which the jury failed to reach a verdict in the first trial: money laundering and sanctions violations. Prosecutors have proposed holding the retrial in early October, even though Storm’s motion under Rule 29 to overturn his conviction for money transmission without a license is still pending.
