The National Cybersecurity Information Center Issues a Security Risk Alert Regarding OpenClaw
Svmuu News: According to monitoring data from the National Cybersecurity Information Sharing Center, there are currently over 200,000 active OpenClaw internet assets worldwide, with approximately 23,000 active within China. These assets are experiencing explosive growth and are primarily concentrated in regions with dense internet resources, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, and Jiangsu. A large number of OpenClaw assets exposed to the internet pose significant security risks and are highly susceptible to becoming prime targets for cyberattacks. In particular, the behavior of these agents is uncontrollable, making them difficult to manage. OpenClaw agents are prone to losing control of their permissions while executing commands, leading them to perform tasks beyond their authorized scope and disregard user instructions. This may result in the deletion of user data, theft of user information, or takeover of user terminal devices, causing significant economic losses. (Jin Shi)
