MetaPlanet revises its capital allocation policy for Bitcoin, retaining the option to increase BTC holdings during bear markets
Svmuu News Japan Bitcoin Crypto firm MetaPlanet has announced revisions to its "Capital Allocation Policy," aiming to maintain its long-term holding strategy Bitcoin while increasing flexibility in fundraising and share buybacks. The company currently holds approximately 35,100 BTC. Under the new policy, MetaPlanet plans to raise funds through various methods, including perpetual preferred shares, common stock issuances, corporate bonds, and credit lines secured by BTC collateral. When mNAV falls below 1x, the company will prioritize share buybacks to increase the BTC holdings per share. Additionally, the company stated that it reserves the option to increase its BTC holdings during bear markets through rights offerings when it determines such actions are in the long-term best interests of shareholders, and plans to maintain its overall leverage level below approximately 10% of BTCNAV.
