Svmuu - According to the 2026 Chain Security Report published by Immunefi, there were 191 publicly disclosed attacks between 2024 and 2025, with a total loss of $4.67 billion and a cumulative five-year loss of $11.9 billion, involving 425 attacks. 94 attacks were recorded in 2024 and 97 in 2025, with the overall frequency stabilizing. The median loss per attack dropped to about $2.2 million from $4.5 million previously, but the average loss was still about $24.5 million. the five largest incidents accounted for 62% of the total funds stolen between 2024 and 2025, and the top ten accounted for 73%. A $1.5 billion attack on Bybit accounted for 44 percent of all losses in 2025 and 32 percent of the two-year total. Centralized exchanges were involved in only 20 of the 191 incidents, but were responsible for more than half of the total losses, at $2.55 billion. The tokens of the attacked projects fell by an average of about 10% within two days of the incident, with a median decline of 61% after six months, and about 84% of the affected tokens were still below their pre-attack levels six months later.
