Turkish Oil Tanker Carrying Russian Oil Attacked by Drone in Black Sea
Svmuu According to a report by Turkish television channel NTV, a Turkish oil tanker fully loaded with crude oil was attacked by a drone in the Black Sea near Istanbul. The report stated that the attack occurred 15 nautical miles from the Bosphorus Strait, targeting the oil tanker "M/T Altura". Ship tracking data shows the tanker was carrying approximately 1 million barrels of Urals crude oil shipped from Novorossiysk. The "Altura" has been sanctioned by the UK and the EU but has not yet been included on the US sanctions list. Turkish maritime news website HaberDenizde reported that an explosion occurred on the tanker's bridge, and water ingress was also detected in the engine room.
