Greeks.live: $13 Billion in BTC Options and $2.12 Billion in ETH Options Expire Today
Svmuu News: Adam, a macro researcher at Greeks.live, posted on platform X stating that today is the quarterly expiration day. 68,000 BTC options are expiring with a Put Call Ratio of 0.56, a max pain point of $74,000, and a notional value of $13 billion. 370,000 ETH options are expiring with a Put Call Ratio of 0.56, a max pain point of $2,250, and a notional value of $2.12 billion. Approximately 36% of Bitcoin and Ethereum options are expiring this week, with a significant amount of options being rolled over, and the peak total open interest accounted for over 40%. Currently, Bitcoin trading activity is relatively low, with a major-term IV of 51%, while Ethereum's major-term IV is 70%. The decline in RV has led to a continuous rise in VRP, with the 15D VRP reaching nearly 20% in the first half of this week. In the first quarter of this year, Bitcoin performed poorly in terms of price and market activity, reflecting insufficient market confidence.
