Svmuu According to reports, US President Trump spoke to the media about Iran while attending an event at the White House, stating that the deadline is Tuesday, April 7th, Eastern Time, and it is "non-negotiable." Trump reiterated that "Iran cannot have nuclear weapons," claiming that during his first term, he tore up the Iran nuclear deal and assassinated then-commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, Qasem Soleimani, "thereby preventing Israel from being wiped off the map." Trump insisted he had achieved a "regime change" in Iran, saying the current Iranian leadership negotiating with the US is "more reasonable." However, he added, "They (Iran) just won't admit defeat, but they will eventually back down—if they don't, they will have nothing."
Trump also stated that if given the choice, he would "take the (Iranian) oil" because "the oil is there for the taking, and they (Iran) can't do anything about it." Trump said, "Unfortunately, the American people want us to come home—if it were up to me, I would take the oil, I would keep the oil for myself, I would make a lot of money." When asked by a reporter, "Since the US has repeatedly claimed that Iran's military power has been destroyed, why is the conflict still ongoing?" Trump replied, "They (Iran) still have some missiles, some drones. They got lucky and shot down a (US) plane." (CCTV International News)
