Svmuu According to unnamed sources cited by Iranian media in the early hours of the 7th local time, an explosion occurred in the Jubail Industrial Area in northeastern Saudi Arabia, which involves U.S. capital, and was the result of a widespread strike. Reports indicate that the Jubail Industrial Area is one of the world's major petrochemical production bases, with an annual output of approximately 60 million tons of petrochemical products, accounting for 6% to 8% of global total production. The area hosts numerous large petrochemical enterprises and projects. Among them, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) is one of the main investors in this industrial zone. Additionally, the Sadara project, involving U.S.-based Dow Chemical Company, as well as a project jointly invested by Saudi Aramco and France's TotalEnergies, are also located within this industrial area.
