Polymarket will upgrade its trading system and launch its native stablecoin, Polymarket USD
Svmuu News: Prediction market platform Polymarket plans to upgrade its trading system in the coming weeks and launch Polymarket CTF Exchange V2. This version will overhaul the trading engine and order book structure to improve matching efficiency and reduce gas costs, while introducing an upgraded Centralized Limit Order Book (CLOB) that combines an off-chain order book with an on-chain execution mechanism. On the asset front, Polymarket intends to launch Polymarket USD, a native stablecoin backed 1:1 by USDC, to gradually replace the existing cross-chain asset USDC.e. Additionally, the platform will support the EIP-1271 standard, enabling smart contract wallets to participate directly in trading. During the upgrade, the existing order book will be cleared and temporarily placed into maintenance mode.
