Svmuu News The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a brief with a federal court opposing Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm's motion to dismiss the criminal charges, arguing that the recent Supreme Court ruling he cited is irrelevant to this case.
Previously, Storm's lawyers attempted to cite a ruling from a civil case involving copyright infringement as grounds for dismissal. However, U.S. prosecutors stated that the legal context of that ruling is significantly different from the current criminal case and should not impact this proceeding. According to the latest developments, the case against Roman Storm is likely to proceed and move into subsequent trial stages. (Decrypt)
